Dr. Saira Bilal
Dr. Saira Bilal is board certified in Internal Medicine and Rheumatology.

Dr. Bilal has more than 20 years of experience in clinical, research and educational medicine. She earned her medical degree from King Edward Medical University in Pakistan, completed her internship and residency in Internal Medicine at MedStar Union Memorial Hospital in Baltimore, and sub-specialization in rheumatology at the University of Texas Southwestern in Dallas, where she served as a Chief rheumatology fellow. Dr. Bilal moved to Washington DC in 2017 and joined George Washington University as an Assistant Professor. In this role she supervised and trained fellows, residents, and medical students. She also chaired several core committees.
Her clinical interests include rheumatoid arthritis, osteoarthritis, gout, psoriatic arthritis, seronegative arthritis, lupus, Sjogren's syndrome, vasculitis and joint injections. She has special interest in musculoskeletal ultrasound and has obtained the prestigious RhMSUS certification from the American College of Rheumatology.Publications
